Past continuous

Minulý čas průběhový. Jako přítomný průběhový, jenom v minulosti. 

minulý prostý = co se stalo

minulý průběhový = co se dělo

Příklad: "Hey! I saw your daughter yesterday. She was sitting on a bench in the park - with a boy! They were kissing!"

"What!? They were kissing?" 

"Yeah, she was sitting right next to him. They were hugging and kissing."

" Were they doing anything else?"

"Oh, I don't know. When she saw me, she stopped kissing him and tried to look innocent."
